T is for Teddy Bears Picnic!

It was a very exciting day in Room 12 today - our fantastic teddy bears picnic!  Room 12 have written the following blog post together.  


Our Teddy Bears Picnic


We had a teddy bears picnic.  We were very nice to each other.  We made teddy sandwiches that had honey and chocolate sprinkles on them.  We used a cutter to make them teddy shapes.  

Then we made our dessert.  TINY TEDDY RACING CARS!!  We used tiny teddy biscuits, moro bars, pebbles and icing.  

We went outside and found a nice picnic spot under a tree.  We ate our sandwiches, chippies and apples.  We had fizzy drink!  Then we are our dessert.  The picnic was so delicious.  We had so much fun!!

Swim for Life

Morningside School has been very lucky to have Kahla from Swim For Life with us this week.  She has been working with the children in the pool to teach them water survival skills and to progress their swimming skills.  Room 12 had a wonderful time learning about life jackets today!

Okara Educare

Wow!  Today Room 12 was soooo lucky!  We were invited to the opening of the new Educare centre along Rawhiti street - Okara Educare.  It was a very important occasion, with the Mayor of Whangarei there to cut the ribbon and officially open the centre.  We had a lot of fun playing in their beautiful new outdoor area and checking out their fantastic new toys.  Because the school  focus for the week was "Being Sensible", we have made a slideshow of our day with photos of us being very sensible!  The Room 12 kids were so well behaved that Mr Prchal gave everyone a special Principal's sticker and a Showing Responsibility Voucher.  I was so proud of them.  You are fantastic Room 12!
